So Samsung's claim to have "reinvented the camera" is a key selling point of the Galaxy S9, its latest flagship.
To test Samsung's claims, we put the S9+, the bigger-screened model, up against Apple's iPhone X. Specs-wise, they barely differ, with dual-lens 12-megapixel sensors.
A good camera also depends on how each phone's software captures and processes an image, which can make for quite different results.
