This rapid rollout follows the Ofcom spectrum auction held in April where O2 spent the most in total for 4G and 5G bands.
10 cities will receive the 4G spectrum as transportation hubs and major shopping centres will be prioritised.
It is said that the new 4G spectrum will reach more than 10 cities by the end of the year and will enhance their Clients mobile experience so that they can do more things anytime anywhere, whether they want to browse the internet or watch their favourite programs on their mobile device.
This rollout is part of O2’s committed to their Clients and they will continue to meet the necessary requirements of the nation’s growing demand for mobile data.
