Introducing…The Ministry of Technocracy

Summary

A focus group made up of colleagues from all departments across the business, with varying backgrounds, who analyse and review new technologies and products across all industry sectors.

Our aim at Vivio is to ensure that we are at the forefront of new and emerging technology, so that we are in the best position to advise our clients on new ways to grow their businesses – taking advantage of the best communication solutions available.

The Ministry has been built on the premise that no idea is dismissed. Think of it like this; where would Mark Zuckerberg be now if he didn’t invite a few friends to his dorm room to discuss a business opportunity? What seemed like a wild idea at a time when the internet was still very much in its infancy, has turned into what we know today as a global billion-dollar company.

This process gives the team the autonomy to dig deeper into topics from 5G and the Internet of Things (IoT) to more outlandish developments such as animal thought translators and smart mirrors.

“The fact that we’ve been able to bring together various members of the business has brought a multi-faceted approach to the way we understand and digest new advancements in technologies. It’s been great to see the different perspectives each of the team has on ways we can improve our own offering to allow our clients to streamline their business processes.”  Greg Nott, founding member of The Ministry of Technocracy and Head of Managed Services.

“We’ve explored a plethora of new and emerging technologies in such a short space of time, most notably the Internet of Things (IoT). We’ve already began discussions with an IoT specialist to help improve our product offering and ensure we are able to support our clients and provide them with the very best services available. It’s also good to see the confidence boost its given to members of the Ministry and how they are actively sharing what they’ve learnt with their own teams.” Sian Webster, Head of Marketing.

“It’s great to be involved in the Ministry and a real chance to improve my knowledge and confidence. The fact that I get to mix with all areas of the business on a level playing field and on a topic that we all own is an exciting prospect. I’m able to offer ideas and thoughts on subject’s that I wouldn’t usually get involvement in, working in Finance.” Scott McHarrie, Finance Assistant Apprentice.

“It’s important that we not only discover and keep abreast the latest developments in technology but ensure we understand how these will revolutionise the business telecommunications industry. We are passionate about learning from technology and more importantly supporting our clients in utilising the most relevant and appropriate technology to take their businesses forward. We’re proud to announce The Ministry of Technocracy, it’s a concept that we’ve been working on for some time now and it’s great to see that come to fruition. Watch this space!” James Wright, CEO
